Building a life from 0 to triumph requires courage, resilience, and ambition. And we’re proud that so many of our students are creating the lives they’ve always dreamed of.

One of them is Zlata Kicin.

Zlata Kicin's story is all about turning tough times into stepping stones.

Imagine landing in Frankfurt with barely anything to your name, spending your first few days hungry and alone. That was Zlata's reality after fleeing her war-torn country.

But instead of giving up, she dug her heels in. She was a nurse, yet she felt a pull towards something different – the beauty industry, sparked by her awe of Branko Babic's eyebrow artistry. Despite her husband doubting the whole idea, Zlata was determined. She faced a big hurdle at her first beauty course, struggling with the practical skills needed. But instead of throwing in the towel when criticized, she practiced drawing eyebrows until the early hours of the morning.

Her hard work paid off.

Posting her eyebrow pictures online got her an overwhelming response, leading her to open the Phi Academy in Frankfurt. Now, Zlata's days are packed with appointments and teaching students who look up to her. Her waiting list is 2 years long, and 1000s of students have made lucrative careers thanks to her mentorship.

She's not just made a name for herself; she's helping others change their lives, proving that when a woman is equipped with persistence and passion she can do nothing but create her own success story.

Masters are artists around the world - united by compassion- were the ones to start “PhiSmile - Pay With Smile”, a movement that brings light into the life of those with the hardest struggles. They offer people who have recently gone through chemotherapy or are fighting with Aloppecia, to pay for their treatment - with their smile only.

These free treatments were never about helping others look good. But to restore confidence and make them smile, when they need it the most.

PhiSmile is their way of saying “You are not alone”.
